Software Developer Intern
Overview
We are seeking a tech-savvy and creative Software Developer Intern to support our digital operations, focusing on website enhancements and the automation of social media workflows. This role is ideal for someone with a blend of technical and creative skills who is interested in building tools and improving systems that help drive engagement and brand visibility.
Responsibilities
Website Development & Maintenance
- Assist in updating and enhancing the company website using WordPress or similar platforms
- Ensure mobile optimization, website speed, and basic security practices
- Troubleshoot basic bugs and perform QA testing across browsers/devices
Social Media Tool Development
- Help implement or improve automated posting workflows
- Assist with integrating scheduling tools for platforms like Pinterest, TikTok, Facebook, and Snapchat
- Support development of reusable content templates using platforms like Canva
Digital Integrations & Automation
- Work on integrations between website, email platforms, and social media tools
- Assist in streamlining forms, lead capture systems, and contact management tools
- Explore lightweight scripting (e.g., Zapier, Make, or Google Apps Script) to improve workflows
Qualifications
- Experience with website platforms(preferably Shopify)
- Interest in social media marketing tools and automation
- Familiarity with Canva or other digital platforms
- Must reside in Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Waukesha, Ozaukee, or Washington counties
- Bonus: knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript or no-code automation tools
Computer Network Support Specialist Intern
We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy intern to join our team and support key aspects of our digital operations. This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys working with websites, digital tools, social media, and has a good eye for detail — especially in helping with accounting tasks and backend organization. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to learn across multiple areas of business operations.
This role is funded through a grant program and must align with the responsibilities of a Computer Network Support Specialist. All tasks will have a strong tech/systems support component.
Responsibilities
Website & Systems Support
- Assist in updating and maintaining our Shopify (or other CMS) website
- Work with hosting platforms and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Optimize website performance and ensure basic security practices
Social Media & Content Scheduling
- Support scheduling of content via tools like TikTok, Instagram, or Meta Suite
- Help organize media assets and coordinate content calendars
- Monitor basic analytics and engagement reports
Accounting & Systems Assistance - Assist in reconciling basic accounts using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or Excel-based systems)
- Help digitize receipts, organize financial documentation
- Support implementation of tech tools that streamline accounting and reporting workflows
General Tech Support
- Assist with setting up and organizing digital systems for team collaboration (Google Workspace, project tools)
- Provide internal support on common technical issues (emails, file sharing, permissions, etc.)
Qualifications
- Strong familiarity with computers, digital tools, and cloud platforms
- Basic understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CMS platforms)
- Experience with social media platforms and digital tools (bonus: content creation tools like Canva)
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, accounting tools, or project management platforms
- Must reside in Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Waukesha, Ozaukee, or Washington counties
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Exposure to web design or content management systems
- Familiarity with accounting software or digital invoicing tools
